Seattle, USA – Solidarity Grid

The 21st of 21 street lamps installed as part of Mischa Kuball’s Solidarity Grid. It was installed in 2015.

The tall lamp donated by The City of Seattle as part of Mischa Kuball’s Solidarity Grid was unveiled on the 23 February 2016 at a special dedication ceremony with a mayoral delegation from Seattle as well as Mayor Lianne Dalziel, of Christchurch.

Christchurch and Seattle have shared a Sister City link since 1981. The Seattle-Christchurch Sister City association supports ongoing faculty exchanges between the University of Washington and the University of Canterbury, and high school teacher exchanges.

Seattle is a seaport city in the state of Washington. Home to impressive architecture such as the Space Needle or the stunning Seattle Central Library, the ‘Emerald City’ holds a strong arts presence and rich musical history.
